Dissertation on Language

Today I received a copy of the Spring 2000 issue (AI 8.1) "Language and Alphabet in Transition". I found the journal to be excellent - entertaining, in-depth and lavishly illustrated. This alphabet issue is of particular interest for me as I am writing a dissertation on Language Planning in the Former Soviet Union. Thanks.
