All proposals should include a 200-500 word abstract of each paper, the name and address and a one-paragraph curriculum vitae of each applicant. The papers can be in French or English.The Conference is co-organized by The Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques and the Association for the Study of Nationalities (ASN), and will be in a position to fund the travel and accommodation of at least 20 scholars from the former Communist bloc. Eligible scholars have to be citizens of one of the successor states of the former Communist bloc and reside in a country of the former Communist bloc at the time of the conference. Other participants, from Western Europe, North America, or elsewhere in the world, have to secure their own funding. A limited number of rooms will be available on campus at the Cité Universitaire.
