Job Opening Executive Director Open Society Institute Baku, Azerbaijan Posted January 27, 2000 Open Society Institute seeks an Executive Director for its national foundation in Baku, Azerbaijan. The executive director, in conjunction with and under direction of OSI Azerbaijan's board of directors, develops strategy, plans and implementation for operating and grantmaking programs. The director supervises staff; interacts with foundation board of directors; oversees the foundation's annual budget. Requires 1. Fluent English and Azeri, Turkish and/or Russian 2. Four plus years ngo management 3. Two plus years field exp. in Central and Eastern Europe or preferably, in the former Soviet Union 4. Experience working with a board 5. Strong financial management, organizational, interpersonal and writing skills; 6. BA with Masters or other advanced degree preferred. 7. Extensive travel.
