http://www.eerc.ru/activ/GDNEconomics Education and Research Consortium (EERC-Russia) and the Global Development Network (GDN) invite proposals to conduct country studies of economic growth in the CIS countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
For each of the twelve CIS countries, a single author or a small team of authors (up to 3 persons) will be selected to prepare a country study report.
Country studies constitute the second phase in the "Explaining Growth" Global Research Project (GRP) of the GDN, the purpose of which is to analyze economic growth at the level of seven macro-regions and more than 150 developing and transition countries in these regions. Individual researchers will be contracted to conduct the country studies in early 2001.
Country studies must be written in English and are to be completed within one calendar year. Total funding per project will typically fall in the range of $10,000-15,000, depending on the size of team and specific budget requirements.
