Ulviyya
Dadashova
We inadvertently misidentified pianist Ulviyya Dadashova in the
photo on page 52 of AI 9.4 (Winter 2001). Ulviyya is one of three
students from Bulbul School who has won President Aliyev's Golden
Book of Young Talents Award; the other two are tar player Ayyub
Guliyev and singer Amil Hasanov.
Ulviyya performed the 1st Movement of Liszt's Piano Concerto
#2 with the Azerbaijan Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro
Rauf Abdullayev at Respublica Palace on May 12, 2002. The concert
featured some of Bulbul's illustrious students and alumnae.
