Are Women Veiled?

Could you help me with some information on women in Azerbaijan? I'm doing a World History project at school, and I can't find anything about the role of women there. Do they go to work? Can they appear in public openly or do they have to wear veils and stay at home? Please understand that I am not trying to offend anyone. I just need to know for my project.

Another thing, what are Azerbaijanis' views towards America? I'm assuming that they don't have major problems or else I would have read about it someplace. Thank you so much.
